Wilfredo Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Jorge Mora ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrés Urane was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Francesco Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Treviño in the 14th minute of play. Jorge Mora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francesco Pérez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Aizprua in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Guillermo Treviño dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Francesco Pérez, 1-1. In the 31st minute, one of El Silencio F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Silencio F.C.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Mora in the 43rd minute of play forced Changuinola's goalkeeper Andrés Urane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Wilfredo Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrés Urane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramon Gómez hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilfredo Perez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, El Silencio F.C.'s Alejandro Bultrón got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 56 played minutes, Changuinola's Christian Urane shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Francesco Pérez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Changuinola reached it. El Silencio F.C.'s Francesco Pérez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Treviño in the 67th minute of play. Andrés Urane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Perez in the 69th minute of the match. Jorge Mora struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Andrés Urane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Silencio F.C.. If Jaime Aizprua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Mora's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Andrés Urane skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
