Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julio Gómez started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Changuinola booed when David F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Zapata didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute Julio Gómez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrés Urane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Changuinola defense, Monchi Oberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrés Urane. The Changuinola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrés Urane should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Aizprua in the 14th minute of play forced David F.C.'s goalkeeper Victor Ulloa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrés Urane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Monchi Oberto in the 16th minute. Andrés Urane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Gómez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Guillermo Treviño ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Ulloa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 30th match minute, Changuinola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Henríguez to maneuver through the defense. Andrés Urane was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Julio Garcia De Paredes. In the 38th minute Guillermo Treviño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Ulloa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Aizprua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Victor Ulloa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monchi Oberto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Andrés Urane skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillermo Treviño to make the kick off. Andrés Urane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Gómez, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Victor Ulloa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Guillermo Treviño showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 61 minute of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Guillermo Treviño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Changuinola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Treviño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Changuinola's zone, Monchi Oberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrés Urane came out of the goal and Monchi Oberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Gómez in the 75th minute of play forced Changuinola's goalkeeper Andrés Urane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Jaime Aizprua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Changuinola's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Aizprua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Ulloa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cesar Briceño kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Julio Gómez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind David F.C.'s goalkeeper Victor Ulloa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Changuinola's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
