Guararé F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Gil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Puerto Pilón booed when Guararé F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Carrillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Guararé F.C.'s Gabriel Carrillo got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Antonio Benavides sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Guararé F.C.'s Felix Urane didn't even have to move. If Mario Muñoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Urane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan De Paredes's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Guararé F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Juan De Paredes came free, but Felix Urane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Ulloa hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes, Puerto Pilón's Antonio Benavides shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felix Urane came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Puerto Pilón reached it. Guararé F.C.'s Felix Urane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Guararé F.C. from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Carrillo's late challenge caught a Puerto Pilón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Puerto Pilón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guararé F.C. the free kick. In the 51st match minute, Puerto Pilón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Peralta to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Juan De Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puerto Pilón's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan De Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felix Urane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Urane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan De Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan De Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Felix Urane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Puerto Pilón's goalkeeper Sebastián Agurto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastián Valdez. Sebastián Valdez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastián Agurto having to interfere. Sebastián Agurto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Gil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mario Muñoz might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felix Urane. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Urane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Muñoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Felix Urane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan De Paredes in the 87th minute of play. Fabio Gil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastián Agurto having to interfere. Sebastián Agurto was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Fabio Gil capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabio Gil really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. The Puerto Pilón supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Guararé F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Guararé F.C..
