Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alberto Spadafora got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Alberto Spadafora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canoa F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Spadafora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonidas De Gracia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Canoa F.C.'s zone, Rafael Zapata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto González came out of the goal and Rafael Zapata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, La Raya De Santa María's José Dely got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 16th play minute Alexander Lozano came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Leonidas De Gracia. 1-0. The supporters of La Raya De Santa María booed when Canoa F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heraclides Trejos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Lozano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Leonidas De Gracia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moisés Pinilla kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Rigoberto González showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Urane, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Rafael Zapata came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the La Raya De Santa María fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Zapata couldn't finish the play. If Miguel Urane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leonidas De Gracia made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Alberto Spadafora sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute Miguel Urane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto González saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesar Gonzalez hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Rigoberto González didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Urane went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Urane was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of La Raya De Santa María booed when Canoa F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Smith didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, La Raya De Santa María's Rigoberto González threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Miguel Urane, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Heraclides Trejos fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canoa F.C.'s protests and gave Heraclides Trejos a yellow card for diving instead. Heraclides Trejos kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Rafael Zapata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto González having to interfere. Alberto Spadafora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Leonidas De Gracia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Zapata's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rigoberto González read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of La Raya De Santa María booed when Canoa F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Gonzalez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Miguel Urane reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rigoberto González. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 87th match minute, Canoa F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Lao to maneuver through the defense. When La Raya De Santa María's Miguel Urane in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rigoberto González made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Urane in the 95th minute of play. If Alexander Lozano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. La Raya De Santa María had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
