Raul Bermudez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Agurto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raul Bermudez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Lozano in the 12th minute of the match. The supporters of Boquerón booed when Isla Iguana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martín Pérez didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Francesco Oberto led 14 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. The Boquerón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Bermudez should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Julio Carrillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isla Iguana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Mario De Gracia scored to the left of an out of position Julio Carrillo, making the score, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martín Agurto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Martín Pérez hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Isla Iguana were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Boquerón's much stronger midfield.
