With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo Alfaro in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Gomez saved Cartí Sugtupu F.C. from getting behind. A collision led to Cartí Sugtupu F.C. getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Sergio Urane hit a great ball. Giancarlo Posam charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giancarlo Posam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Cartí Sugtupu F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giancarlo Posam to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes, La Chorrera's Emanuel Smith shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilberto Gomez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Chorrera reached it. In the 14th minute, Giancarlo Posam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of La Chorrera booed when Cartí Sugtupu F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Urane didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 minutes, Sebastián Herbruger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Chorrera and the Cartí Sugtupu F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes La Chorrera got a freekick which was hit by Sebastián Herbruger. In the 24th minute, Gustavo Alfaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulpiano Escobar in the 26th minute of play forced La Chorrera's goalkeeper Rolando Ulloa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Chavez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Ulloa was a little too slow when Ulpiano Escobar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-0. After a rather tough play, La Chorrera's Enrique Gonzalez got a free kick in the 34th minute. Cartí Sugtupu F.C. were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after La Chorrera's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ivan De Paredes took the corner. The corner ended in Ivan De Paredes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but La Chorrera's Rolando Ulloa did a great save. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cartí Sugtupu F.C.'s goalkeeper Gilberto Gomez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juan Chavez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Gilberto Gomez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Felix De Diego fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rolando Ulloa, passed just outside the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulpiano Escobar made a kick off. Ulpiano Escobar might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Ulloa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulpiano Escobar ran back to his position shaking his head. La Chorrera's Gustavo Alfaro got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ulpiano Escobar scored 3-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Ulloa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilberto Gomez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Alfaro in the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cartí Sugtupu F.C.'s zone, Gustavo Alfaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Gomez came out of the goal and Gustavo Alfaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Juan Chavez fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Chorrera's protests and gave Juan Chavez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Juan Chavez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cartí Sugtupu F.C.'s goalkeeper Gilberto Gomez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Manuel Oberto fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Chorrera's protests and gave Manuel Oberto a yellow card for diving instead. Gustavo Alfaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolando Ulloa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix De Diego in the 86th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Felix De Diego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Ulloa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes of play La Chorrera's Sebastián Herbruger was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 95th match minute, La Chorrera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastián Herbruger to maneuver through the defense. Ulpiano Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
