David Corral scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luis Pimentel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 12thth minute of the game David Corral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unión Chocó's Luis Pimentel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Antonio Lao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reggie Herbruger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Trejos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Unión Chocó's goal looked a bit too open when David Corral came free, but Luis Pimentel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Corral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Luis Pimentel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Corral hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sasardi F.C. booed when Unión Chocó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Lao didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Corral to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Andrés Rios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sasardi F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unión Chocó the free kick. Andrés Rios hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Elias Trejos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unión Chocó's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Trejos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Unión Chocó's Luis Pimentel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomaso Spadafora in the 63rd minute of play. Edgardo Corral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reggie Herbruger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Tomaso Spadafora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomaso Spadafora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Sasardi F.C.'s David Corral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis Pimentel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Elias Trejos came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Unión Chocó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Trejos couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Sasardi F.C.'s Andrés Rios got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When Unión Chocó's Antonio Lao in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sasardi F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgardo Quirós during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Sasardi F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Quirós. Antonio Lao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reggie Herbruger having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Unión Chocó's Antonio Lao got a free kick in the 90th minute. Edgardo Quirós took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luis Pimentel. Luis Pimentel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 99 minutes into the match, David Corral notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Unión Chocó's Luis Pimentel. Luis Pimentel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sasardi F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
