Elias Peren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 minutes, Reinaldo Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Las Lomas F.C. and the Changuinola players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Las Lomas F.C.'s Reinaldo Arias got a free kick in the 18th minute. With his leg Alejandro García managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Changuinola's Gustavo Palma fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Martín Bermudez came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Las Lomas F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martín Bermudez couldn't finish the play. Las Lomas F.C.'s Martín Bermudez got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute Martín Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Quiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejandro Quiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martín Bermudez in the 33rd minute of play. Elias Peren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro Quiros having to interfere. Alejandro Quiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Bermudez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Elias Peren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Peren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alejandro Quiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Changuinola players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Las Lomas F.C. were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moisés Moscoso made a kick off. Moisés Moscoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejandro García read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Elias Peren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Las Lomas F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Peren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Quiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Changuinola's zone, Elias Peren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejandro Quiros came out of the goal and Elias Peren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Changuinola's Alejandro Quiros got control of the ball when Martín Bermudez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 63 played minutes Las Lomas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Peralta. Moisés Moscoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Moisés Moscoso might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alejandro García. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moisés Moscoso ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustavo Palma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Alejandro García tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Palma struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Alejandro García didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Changuinola. When Moisés Moscoso came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Changuinola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Moscoso couldn't finish the play. Alejandro García showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Palma, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Gustavo Palma came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Changuinola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Palma couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Las Lomas F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
