But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Toledano couldn't finish the play. 4 minutes into the game, Fernando Gutierrez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Changuinola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pacora the free kick. A collision led to Changuinola getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Fernando Gutierrez hit a great ball. Alejandro Quiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toto Sobenis, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After having played for 9 minutes, Alberto Toledano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pacora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Toledano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Changuinola's Alejandro Quiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Changuinola from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Changuinola's Alejandro Quiros got control of the ball when Alberto Toledano tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gustavo Palma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Agurto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moisés Moscoso's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Pacora's Alberto Toledano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alejandro Quiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 28 played minutes Changuinola got a freekick which was hit by Luchito Benavides. After 30 played minutes Pacora got a freekick which was hit by Toto Sobenis. When Pacora's Toto Sobenis in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Changuinola's goalie prevented a goal. Luchito Benavides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Agurto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Moscoso in the 36th minute of the match. Gustavo Palma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Moisés Moscoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Changuinola's supporters rose to their feet, but Moisés Moscoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Agurto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hector Agurto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Palma in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Palma in the 41st minute of play forced Pacora's goalkeeper Hector Agurto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toto Sobenis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Changuinola getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Franklin García hit a great ball. Alejandro Quiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toto Sobenis in the 49th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Moisés Moscoso made the kick off in the second half. Antonio Fernández's late challenge caught a Changuinola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Fernández helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Changuinola booed when Pacora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Fernández didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Pacora getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Ulpiano Jaen hit a great ball. Hector Agurto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Palma in the 65th minute. With his leg Hector Agurto managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Changuinola's Gustavo Palma fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Toto Sobenis kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. With 75 minutes on the clock, Andrés Gómez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Pacora:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Changuinola:s goal. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pacora's goalkeeper Hector Agurto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Changuinola booed when Pacora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gil didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ulpiano Jaen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pacora's zone, Moisés Moscoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Agurto came out of the goal and Moisés Moscoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luchito Benavides in the 98th minute of play forced Pacora's goalkeeper Hector Agurto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Changuinola's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
