André Luís Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flann Flack in the 12th minute of play. André Luís Peixoto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fritz Lonning went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ivan Caballero hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Flann Flack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luís Peixoto having to interfere. After some careless play in the DÏVÄLÄ defense, 康震光 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Muñoz. The DÏVÄLÄ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Muñoz should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as New Era's Orlando Chavez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabio Muñoz. That made the score 3-1 after 28 minutes of play. If Alexander Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. New Era's André Luís Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Murillo in the 40th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander Murillo to make the kick off. A collision led to New Era getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Leonidas Cedeño hit a great ball. André Luís Peixoto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomaso Ulloa in the 53rd minute. Alexander Murillo came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and André Luís Peixoto could save by the left post. After 56 played minutes New Era got a freekick which was hit by Leonidas Cedeño. 57 minutes into the game, DÏVÄLÄ's Alexander Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Luís Peixoto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. 康震光 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Muñoz having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by 康震光 in the 59th minute of play forced DÏVÄLÄ's goalkeeper Fabio Muñoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fritz Lonning was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 63 minutes into the match, DÏVÄLÄ's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Peren came free, but Fabio Muñoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabio Muñoz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. DÏVÄLÄ made a substitution. Rigoberto Caballero replaced Juan Moreno. In the 80th minute, DÏVÄLÄ's Fritz Lonning ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind André Luís Peixoto. André Luís Peixoto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-3. Mario Peren took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabio Muñoz. Fabio Muñoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-3. 97 minutes into the game, New Era's Orlando Chavez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Muñoz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-3. DÏVÄLÄ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
