De-la-Cruz Baraona helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Africa getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. De-la-Cruz Baraona hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Africa's goal looked a bit too open when Texeira Mayllar came free, but Calle Maujo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Jalon hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Viator Aguillar was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in CD Saiba's zone, Rodney Goyeneta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaramillo Luey came out of the goal and Rodney Goyeneta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Graells in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaramillo Luey saved CD Saiba from getting behind. If Rodney Goyeneta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodney Goyeneta got free with Jaramillo Luey in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Richard Graells to strike the kick off in the second half. Jaramillo Luey came out of the goal and Richard Graells tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CD Saiba's Jaramillo Luey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Graells in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, CD Saiba's Xano Ruedas got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 68 minutes, John Jalon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Saiba and the Africa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes CD Saiba got a freekick which was hit by John Jalon. The audience held their breath when De-la-Cruz Baraona in the 70th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Jaramillo Luey's left hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Rodney Goyeneta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Africa's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodney Goyeneta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaramillo Luey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferrer Valls charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferrer Valls the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Africa booed when CD Saiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferrer Valls didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 76 in the game by Texeira Mayllar from a close distance when the talented Calle Maujo managed to make a qualified save. Africa's players were relieved. During the 79th minute of the match Richard Graells completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Richard Graells a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Richard Graells hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Texeira Mayllar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CD Saiba walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
