Sotomayor Careaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Peart in the 9th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes UD Huamanqui got a freekick which was hit by Juan-Angel Ares. 15 minutes into the match, Gulalag SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Peart came free, but Sotomayor Careaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xarles Barsi kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Nando Peart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Gulalag SC's Vidal Alborza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Portochao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to UD Huamanqui getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Nando Peart hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Peart in the 30th minute of play forced Gulalag SC's goalkeeper Sotomayor Careaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vidal Alborza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Rogerio Cerdeira made the kick off in the second half. Mateo Caldueño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Sotomayor Careaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogerio Cerdeira struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Leo Portochao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gulalag SC. When Eugenio Sotelo fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gulalag SC's protests and gave Eugenio Sotelo a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gulalag SC! Sotomayor Careaga made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Jonathan Arganzua sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Gulalag SC's zone, Jonathan Arganzua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sotomayor Careaga came out of the goal and Jonathan Arganzua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xarles Barsi hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Jonathan Arganzua took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sotomayor Careaga. Sotomayor Careaga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gulalag SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! The referee gave UD Huamanqui a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Juan-Angel Ares, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gulalag SC's Sotomayor Careaga. 1-4. After 79 played minutes Gulalag SC got a freekick which was hit by Vilson Durante. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Caldueño in the 82nd minute of play forced Gulalag SC's goalkeeper Sotomayor Careaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vidal Alborza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Portochao having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Gulalag SC's Vidal Alborza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leo Portochao made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. In the 94th minute Vidal Alborza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Portochao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. UD Huamanqui had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
