Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cautivo's Zambrano Toria started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Zambrano Toria fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cautivo's protests and gave Zambrano Toria a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cautivo's Zambrano Toria got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 11th minute, Zambrano Toria made a precise shot to the right of Leo Portochao. UD Huamanqui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. UD Huamanqui's Leo Portochao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zambrano Toria in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Jonathan Arganzua managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Huamanqui's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Arganzua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xoan Castruita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 36 minutes, Trivniño Ubago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cautivo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trivniño Ubago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zambrano Toria scored 0-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leo Portochao, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. UD Huamanqui's Nando Peart got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 46 played minutes Cautivo got a freekick which was hit by Gómez Alvarado. After the first half Cautivo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
After 53 minutes, Christian Rapado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Huamanqui and the Cautivo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leo Portochao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zambrano Toria, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Zambrano Toria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leo Portochao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trivniño Ubago in the 58th minute. If Jonathan Arganzua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zambrano Toria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. UD Huamanqui's Jonathan Arganzua got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the game, Felix Calzado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cautivo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Huamanqui the free kick. After 89 minutes of play, UD Huamanqui's Nando Peart made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xoan Castruita was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Nando Peart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The UD Huamanqui manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Cautivo to win.
