In the 19th minute, Erwin Ali ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evelio Llanos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Mauricio Zamanillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Javier Fortes came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the UD Gurgur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Fortes couldn't finish the play. Javier Lin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Casarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Javier Fortes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Javier Lin was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Javier Fortes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
