In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pallatanga's goalkeeper Mario Junco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raúl Sirguero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raúl Sirguero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Mario Junco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in UD Guallupe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, Pallatanga's Gonzalo Rebolledo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Omar Cabrera. Mario Junco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Sirguero in the 44th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, UD Guallupe's goal looked a bit too open when Ysidro Salmeron came free, but Omar Cabrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ysidro Salmeron to make the kick off. In the 65th minute Ysidro Salmeron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Cabrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Raúl Sirguero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Cabrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ysidro Salmeron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of UD Guallupe booed when Pallatanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yago Carces didn't get a good kick on the ball. UD Guallupe's Gabriel Ruelas shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 74th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mario Junco but with some difficulty. If Dominguez Rubi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
