A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Xepe Balda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raúl Sirguero went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute Esterilla Morua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xepe Balda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Timoteo Iruretagoyena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xepe Balda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Sirguero in the 45th minute of play. When UD Guallupe's Esterilla Morua in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xayveon Obiaga was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Raúl Sirguero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xepe Balda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 57th minute of the match, Esterilla Morua tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Xepe Balda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 58 minutes into the match, Raúl Sirguero notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Zapotepamba SC's Xepe Balda. Xepe Balda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José-Manuel Linde charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José-Manuel Linde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Xayveon Obiaga might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Omar Cabrera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xepe Isasaga scored 1-3 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Omar Cabrera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 69 minutes into the match, Zapotepamba SC's goal looked a bit too open when Esterilla Morua came free, but Xepe Balda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 played minutes Esterilla Morua rounded Zapotepamba SC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. Xepe Balda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raúl Sirguero in the 78th minute. Xepe Balda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esterilla Morua in the 79th minute of the match. When Xayveon Obiaga came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Zapotepamba SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xayveon Obiaga couldn't finish the play. Xayveon Obiaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Cabrera having to interfere. Xayveon Obiaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xepe Balda came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by UD Guallupe's Raúl Sirguero. But to his dismay, Raúl Sirguero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The Zapotepamba SC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing UD Guallupe to win.
