Bran Castellon hit a great ball. CD Guangana's Xzaver Monedero couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Balcashi SC. Jaime Xandri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Tio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeledon Hermo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martinez Portilla having to interfere. When Balcashi SC's Zeledon Hermo in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CD Guangana's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in CD Guangana's zone, Escobar Homar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martinez Portilla came out of the goal and Escobar Homar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to CD Guangana getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rodriguez Bielva hit a great ball. Zeledon Hermo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Balcashi SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Zeledon Hermo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Marcelo Mariño was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Guangana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balcashi SC the free kick. A collision led to CD Guangana getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Marcelo Mariño hit a great ball. Zeledon Hermo struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Martinez Portilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balcashi SC. 47 minutes into the match, CD Guangana's goalkeeper Martinez Portilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Escobar Homar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zeledon Hermo to strike the kick off in the second half. Martinez Portilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeledon Hermo's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Escobar Homar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute, Rodriguez Bielva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martinez Portilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Hermo in the 55th minute of play. Francisco Tio took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime Xandri. Jaime Xandri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jaime Xandri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zelipe Hortero, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Xosepe Mendieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Tio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jaime Xandri having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zelipe Hortero in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Xandri saved Balcashi SC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Zelipe Hortero managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Guangana's supporters rose to their feet, but Zelipe Hortero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Xandri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Tio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 83rd playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Escobar Homar in the 93rd minute of play forced CD Guangana's goalkeeper Martinez Portilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martinez Portilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zeledon Hermo went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CD Guangana walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
