The referee showed Anibal Herenchun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gutierrez Muela went to the wrong direction when Klimowitz Cando was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Samuel Chirinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gutierrez Muela having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, CD Salanco's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Uriona came free, but Nacho Echandi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Tomas Negrete managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guapageo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Negrete was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nacho Echandi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hurtado Terme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gutierrez Muela having to make a save. In the 37th play minute Zayvius Guereña came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nacho Echandi. 2-0. Guapageo FC's Gutierrez Muela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Chirinos in the 41st minute of play. Tomas Negrete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Negrete was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to CD Salanco getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Jácome Pares hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Guapageo FC's Xulio Galan tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gutierrez Muela didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. 63 minutes into the match, CD Salanco's Raimundo Gorron sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gutierrez Muela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gutierrez Muela made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Samuel Chirinos sent off a good shot on target. Samuel Chirinos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gutierrez Muela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Raimundo Gorron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gutierrez Muela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Guapageo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Gorron came free, but Gutierrez Muela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, CD Salanco's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Negrete came free, but Nacho Echandi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornelio Raña kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Nacho Echandi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Negrete, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Tomas Negrete notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of CD Salanco's Nacho Echandi. Nacho Echandi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tomas Negrete managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guapageo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Negrete was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nacho Echandi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romero Iribarren, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. After 98 minutes CD Salanco's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xulio Galan who took care of the corner kick. CD Salanco's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
