Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) UD Ambatillo's Ximenez Filare started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Dennis Esoin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Ambatillo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Chinchinal the free kick. In the 3rd minute, Suárez Maderos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paredes Alaejos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Paulo Cardeño when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ximenez Filare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Cardeño having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Rabel in the 27th minute of play forced UD Ambatillo's goalkeeper Gilmar Posada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garrido Belon hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Gilmar Posada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Rabel went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Paredes Alaejos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Paulo Cardeño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CD Chinchinal's Paulo Cardeño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximenez Filare in the 44th minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Inocencio Sampil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Chinchinal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inocencio Sampil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patricio Rabel made a kick off. Paulo Cardeño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paredes Alaejos, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Patricio Rabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Gilmar Posada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inocencio Sampil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the CD Chinchinal defense, Ximenez Filare kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Cardeño. The CD Chinchinal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Cardeño should have stopped the shot. If Antonio Carbezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Ubendu Iturburu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Chinchinal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Ambatillo the free kick. The supporters of UD Ambatillo booed when CD Chinchinal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubendu Iturburu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilmar Posada acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 74th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marco Madariaga. Gilmar Posada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Rabel in the 75th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeru Villayres during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to CD Chinchinal getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Zeru Villayres hit a great ball. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Chinchinal's goalkeeper Paulo Cardeño, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When UD Ambatillo's Ximenez Filare in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CD Chinchinal's goalie prevented a goal. If Ximenez Filare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patricio Rabel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. UD Ambatillo's Gilmar Posada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save UD Ambatillo from getting a goal against them.
