Pioter SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerson Foubelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. De-la-Cruz Jerena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Checa Moyano in the 15th minute of play. De-la-Cruz Jerena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Checa Moyano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yarizahua's De-la-Cruz Jerena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerson Foubelo in the 31st minute of play. Jerson Foubelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. De-la-Cruz Jerena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Checa Moyano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luzuriaga Alcedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anangonó Palencia, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute Checa Moyano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but De-la-Cruz Jerena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Checa Moyano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Yarizahua's Xines Parra got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yarizahua's De-la-Cruz Jerena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Checa Moyano in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xines Parra in the 60th minute of play forced Pioter SC's goalkeeper Luzuriaga Alcedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Anangonó Palencia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Checa Moyano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without De-la-Cruz Jerena having to interfere. Jerson Foubelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but De-la-Cruz Jerena made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerson Foubelo got free with De-la-Cruz Jerena in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Checa Moyano might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over De-la-Cruz Jerena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Checa Moyano ran back to his position shaking his head. Jerson Foubelo struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pioter SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
