Atillo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cienega FC the free kick. Fiallos Cabezon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricart Ontaneda, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Jaramillo Lebon's shot from long distance in the 39th minute was not bad at all, but Atillo's Ramon Muñoz knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After having played for 43 minutes, Viteri Rosich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cienega FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viteri Rosich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilmer Guereña might have been able to make a better finish in the 50th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramon Muñoz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilmer Guereña ran back to his position shaking his head.

When Atillo's Ricart Ontaneda in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cienega FC's goalie prevented a goal. Fiallos Cabezon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramiro Surco in the 57th minute. Wilmer Guereña took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramon Muñoz. Ramon Muñoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Fiallos Cabezon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ramon Muñoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilmer Guereña in the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cienega FC's zone, Ricart Ontaneda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiallos Cabezon came out of the goal and Ricart Ontaneda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ramiro Surco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramiro Surco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fiallos Cabezon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeru Bilbao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Fiallos Cabezon made a huge save. If Ramiro Surco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fiallos Cabezon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricart Ontaneda's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute, Ricart Ontaneda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zeru Bilbao hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Atillo's Coronel Bermudez got a free kick in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Ricart Ontaneda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fiallos Cabezon was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeru Bilbao during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
