Angel Villabel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th match minute, Macuma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Urquia to maneuver through the defense. Uhin Holgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efrain Cepeda having to interfere. When Valentine Cantiello fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Chacapamba's protests and gave Valentine Cantiello a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, UD Chacapamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentine Cantiello to maneuver through the defense. Xurxo Tariego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xzavaier Jusino, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angel Villabel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 64 minutes into the game, Blandón Palermo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macuma succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though UD Chacapamba had controlled the match.
