In the 6th minute, Segio Pineda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Xzaiver Cadorniga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Bartolomei. Pillin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xzaiver Cadorniga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Mariano Cantillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Mendigoitia having to interfere. Joaquin Mendigoitia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chatruc Ron's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Joaquin Mendigoitia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chatruc Ron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xzaiver Cadorniga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Luis Bartolomei made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segio Pineda in the 26th minute of play forced Pillin's goalkeeper Luis Bartolomei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Bartolomei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xzaiver Cadorniga in the 36th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Segio Pineda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Lagunas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Segio Pineda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mariano Cantillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Zacarias Tariego was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pillin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Lagunas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pillin's Zacarias Tariego got a free kick in the 45th minute. Xzaiver Cadorniga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Bartolomei having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Segio Pineda was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xzaiver Cadorniga in the 54th minute of play forced Pillin's goalkeeper Luis Bartolomei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the UD Lagunas defense, Mariano Cantillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Mendigoitia. The UD Lagunas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Mendigoitia should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes into the match, UD Lagunas's Xzaiver Cadorniga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Bartolomei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Pillin booed when UD Lagunas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salomon Villaren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Pillin's Mariano Cantillo in the 64th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Joaquin Mendigoitia was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for UD Lagunas through an amazing save. Joaquin Mendigoitia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Cantillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Segio Pineda managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Lagunas's supporters rose to their feet, but Segio Pineda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Bartolomei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. UD Lagunas's Segio Pineda got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Cantillo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. Pillin's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 79th minute Segio Pineda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Bartolomei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute Zacarias Tariego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Mendigoitia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pillin's Mariano Cantillo got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Roris Cabarcos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaramillo Alsina succeeded in the game's 90th minute to get real power on a long shot . UD Lagunas's Joaquin Mendigoitia hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-2! Pillin's Luis Bartolomei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xzaiver Cadorniga in the 95th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pillin's zone, Segio Pineda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Bartolomei came out of the goal and Segio Pineda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
