Dennis Iruleta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torres Sotres having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Codony in the 14th minute of play forced Valladolid's goalkeeper Torres Sotres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frutos Lucero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Ramos Lorca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paiva Puerto got free with Ramos Lorca in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santos Parada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paiva Puerto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Iruleta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Torres Sotres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Salas Coleira fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valladolid's protests and gave Salas Coleira a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Valladolid got a freekick which was hit by Salas Coleira. 59 minutes into the game, Paiva Puerto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ramos Lorca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Paiva Puerto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Xavian Pita fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Santos Parada might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Torres Sotres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santos Parada ran back to his position shaking his head. Dennis Iruleta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torres Sotres having to interfere. In the 79th minute of the match Rodrigo Elenes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Torres Sotres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 84th minute, Frutos Lucero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramos Lorca was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Santos Parada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramos Lorca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paiva Puerto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guanaje SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Valladolid.
