In the 11th minute of the match Patricio Martel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walter Azpiroz skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, CD Atobuela's Figueroa Nogal got control of the ball when Ovando Arbe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Sergio Digon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walter Azpiroz skillfully saved the ball. CD Atobuela's Ramos Portugal suffered a sore knee after 21 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Sumo FC booed when CD Atobuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xeromo Loizaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walter Azpiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan-Angel Asegninolaza in the 38th minute of the match. Juan-Angel Asegninolaza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Ovando Arbe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sumo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan-Angel Asegninolaza to strike the kick off in the second half. Figueroa Nogal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corozo Elicegui in the 59th minute of the match. CD Atobuela's Figueroa Nogal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corozo Elicegui in the 61st minute of play. After some careless play in the CD Atobuela defense, Ovando Arbe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Figueroa Nogal. The CD Atobuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Figueroa Nogal should have stopped the shot. Ramiro Cañucal charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiro Cañucal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ramiro Cañucal hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Juan-Angel Asegninolaza might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walter Azpiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan-Angel Asegninolaza ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute, Juan-Angel Asegninolaza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CD Atobuela's Xeromo Loizaga got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Figueroa Nogal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovando Arbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramiro Cañucal got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ramiro Cañucal kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Sumo FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of CD Atobuela for a fine match.
