Salitral SC's Romeo Sallas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Salitral SC booed when UD Granja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gutierrez Hortero didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lavallén Barrantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Sallas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José-Luis Maltrana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, UD Granja's José-Luis Maltrana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romeo Sallas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zenaido Mantecon in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angulo Mejia saved UD Granja from getting behind. Xuaco Serrana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lavallén Barrantes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romeo Sallas having to make a save. After some careless play in the Salitral SC defense, Lavallén Barrantes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeo Sallas. The Salitral SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeo Sallas should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute, Xuaco Serrana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute, Lavallén Barrantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Zenaido Mantecon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramírez Boldu hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. UD Granja had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
