If Agustín Chavez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. UD Barabon's Cristian Oton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Chavez in the 41st minute of play. Loco Agunaga hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, UD Barabon's Xavon Padierna broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agustín Chavez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Baltanas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Velasco Merlo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Velasco Merlo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Parrales Arriola, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Rodolfo Baltanas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Oton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Valensuela's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Parrales Arriola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Velasco Merlo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, David Valensuela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustín Chavez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
