Ruperto Churruca made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Sixto Servin sent off a good shot on target. In the 11th minute, Sixto Servin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Loredo charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Loredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to CD Paila getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Carlos Loredo hit a great ball. Puelazo SC's Loco Lizaso couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for CD Paila. If Loco Cotes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Loco Cotes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ruperto Churruca. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Espiga Cuadro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Santa in the 22nd minute of the match. Ruperto Churruca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Cotes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zumar Negrete during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CD Paila's Zumar Negrete got a free kick in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Loco Cotes lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Ruperto Churruca. Sixto Servin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Puelazo SC's Espiga Cuadro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Santa in the 33rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Danny Santa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Espiga Cuadro was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Loco Cotes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruperto Churruca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. If Monge Ita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Puelazo SC's Loco Cotes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ruperto Churruca. That made the score 3-0 after 45 minutes of play.

In the 53rd minute, Monge Ita made a precise shot to the right of Espiga Cuadro. Puelazo SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Ruperto Churruca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Jurado in the 60th minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Puelazo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ortiz Bergada to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Puelazo SC's Espiga Cuadro got control of the ball when Armando Landeribar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Loco Cotes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ruperto Churruca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danny Santa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Sixto Servin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, CD Paila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Tufiño to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Puelazo SC booed when CD Paila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Loredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sixto Servin came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Puelazo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sixto Servin couldn't finish the play. Sixto Servin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Churruca having to interfere. Ruperto Churruca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loco Cotes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CD Paila's Carlos Loredo got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Carlos Loredo off the ground. 96 minutes into the match, CD Paila's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Cotes came free, but Ruperto Churruca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CD Paila's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
