In the 26th minute, Johnny Garnica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joyapa's Evelio Rebustillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tonio Ciaran in the 32nd minute of play. Joyapa's Johnny Garnica got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patatena SC's Fricson Gañona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asencio Montaña in the 35th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Joyapa had won after a very even match.
