CD Huarinja's Ordonez Cañada got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xabier Beneitez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Xines Gaiztarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blandón Cuesta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Xines Gaiztarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xabier Beneitez in the 23rd minute of the match. When German Berges came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the CD Huarinja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that German Berges couldn't finish the play. Xines Gaiztarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xabier Beneitez in the 39th minute of play. Ordonez Cañada charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ordonez Cañada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, CD Huarinja's Ordonez Cañada got a free kick in the 40th minute. If Xabier Beneitez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Luis-Antonio Puebla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Dario Echague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blandón Cuesta in the 63rd minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, CD Huarinja's goal looked a bit too open when Xabier Beneitez came free, but Xines Gaiztarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Echague came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by CD Huarinja's Blandón Cuesta. But to his dismay, Blandón Cuesta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The audience was convinced that Blandón Cuesta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Echague was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the game, Tomas Falconi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juron's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Huarinja the free kick. In the 78th minute, Tomas Falconi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Juron's Flor Ruifrancos got a free kick in the 80th minute. Luis-Antonio Puebla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Xines Gaiztarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis-Antonio Puebla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xines Gaiztarro having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Luis-Antonio Puebla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juron's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis-Antonio Puebla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CD Huarinja's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
