With a little luck, Palora's Edmundo Manzanares got control of the ball when Genaro Andinyach tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 5thth minute of the game Ramos Balda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palora's Edmundo Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ramos Balda struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Edmundo Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iyapamba FC. Iyapamba FC's Duarte Barriobero suffered a concussion after 7 minutes and had to leave the field. After 7 minutes, Navarro Olazarra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palora and the Iyapamba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Palora getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Navarro Olazarra hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Iyapamba FC's Renán Bildosteguy got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 11 played minutes Iyapamba FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramos Balda. In the 12th minute of the match Xefe Ayuso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antonio Sieira skillfully saved the ball. Unax Morellana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Sieira having to interfere. Ramos Balda kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Navarro Olazarra got his second yellow card in the match during the 23rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 23rd match minute, Palora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Navarro Olazarra to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Ubera in the 26th minute of play forced Iyapamba FC's goalkeeper Antonio Sieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Genaro Andinyach was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iyapamba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palora the free kick. Genaro Andinyach kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Unax Morellana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Unax Morellana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramos Balda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genaro Andinyach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Estacio Gabi's late challenge caught a Iyapamba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Estacio Gabi helped the player get up and apologised. Edmundo Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Genaro Andinyach sent off a good shot on target. Unax Morellana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Antonio Sieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Unax Morellana to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Andinyach in the 51st minute of play forced Palora's goalkeeper Edmundo Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unax Morellana scored 0-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antonio Sieira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edmundo Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Andinyach in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Iyapamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramos Balda to maneuver through the defense. Genaro Andinyach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Manzanares having to interfere. If Genaro Andinyach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Unax Morellana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Palora eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
