The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Franco Ubera kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Unax Morellana put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vedillo Sarandeses. Franco Ubera's late challenge caught a Cauchiche's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franco Ubera helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute of the match Chucho Ursua shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmundo Manzanares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 16th minute Leon Lozada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Unax Morellana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vedillo Sarandeses having to interfere. When Franco Ubera was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 36 minutes had been played. Franco Ubera hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Genaro Ubach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Palora were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Unax Morellana to strike the kick off in the second half. Edmundo Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Lozada in the 59th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Navarro Olazarra during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Palora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Navarro Olazarra to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Isaac Cedeno notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Palora's Edmundo Manzanares.
