Paúl Villagra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osorio Limia in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Carlos Orruma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Washington Tortoles was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 20th minute, Hernando Tezano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 21 played minutes Jirincay got a freekick which was hit by Vidal Torrascasana. Hernando Tezano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. After 35 played minutes, Puculcay's John Campuzano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paúl Villagra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Puculcay reached it. After 36 minutes, Jesus Remirez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jirincay and the Puculcay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hernando Tezano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paúl Villagra having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Puculcay's Osorio Limia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paúl Villagra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paúl Villagra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernando Tezano's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. During the 43rd minute of the match Jesus Remirez completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jesus Remirez a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Puculcay booed when Jirincay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Remirez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Puculcay had played much better football throughout.
