Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Valentim Llorente kicked off to start the match. Mane Villafuentes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentim Llorente in the 9th minute of play. If Agustin Rionda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of UD Verno booed when Cortijo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar Bullon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentim Llorente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mane Villafuentes having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Zelipe Risel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Verno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cortijo the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, UD Verno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zelipe Risel to maneuver through the defense. In the 31stth minute of the game Jacinto Tramarria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UD Verno's Mane Villafuentes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Jacinto Tramarria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cortijo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Tramarria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Marco Boo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustin Rionda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordero Maysonet having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Agustin Rionda made the kick off in the second half. Leonel Piedrahita's late challenge caught a UD Verno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Piedrahita helped the player get up and apologised. Cordero Maysonet came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by UD Verno's Agustin Rionda. But to his dismay, Agustin Rionda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 75 minutes, Marco Boo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Verno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Boo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agustin Rionda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Licardi hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. If Agustin Rionda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Paz charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igor Paz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th minute, one of UD Verno:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UD Verno. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Cortijo. Leonel Piedrahita stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mane Villafuentes. 1-2. The Cortijo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
