Marco Aguinaco charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 3rd match minute, Paltas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Aguinaco to maneuver through the defense. Cordero Maysonet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Cerdeño's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. If Danilo Sobaler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cordero Maysonet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Sobaler in the 14th minute of play. Valentim Llorente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patricio Matos having to make a save. Danilo Sobaler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordero Maysonet having to interfere. Edmundo Cerdeño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Danilo Sobaler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paltas SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Sobaler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st match minute, Paltas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Juaristi to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Patricio Matos managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Cortijo's Valentim Llorente fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Tramarria got free with Patricio Matos in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Jacinto Tramarria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patricio Matos. Paltas SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Tramarria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Valentim Llorente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paltas SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Valentim Llorente scored to the left of an out of position Patricio Matos, making the score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Cerdeño to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Paltas SC's Vela Arana got a free kick in the 58th minute. Paltas SC's Edmundo Cerdeño got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 81 minutes, Danilo Sobaler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paltas SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Sobaler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Cortijo support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
