The referee ignored Saquir's protests and gave Martinez Coteron a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Saquir got a freekick which was hit by Martinez Coteron. Vitor Agado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vitor Agado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Rubén Mahabe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Rafael Brion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Efrain Juan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saquir's Rubén Mahabe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitor Agado in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Walter Gaitan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Oreamuno was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rubén Mahabe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitor Agado in the 38th minute of the match. Rubén Mahabe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitor Agado in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitor Agado in the 44th minute of play forced Saquir's goalkeeper Rubén Mahabe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saquir's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Vitor Agado scored to the left of an out of position Rubén Mahabe, making the score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Diego Roches got a very nice opportunity to score, but Borja Illera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Walter Gaitan charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 74th minute Yaniusky Viñaspre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borja Illera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Diego Roches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Vitor Agado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitor Agado struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Rubén Mahabe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabiango FC. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sabiango FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Saquir had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
