When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ortiz Manurga made a kick off. After a rather tough play, CD Masquera's Bolívar Victorero got a free kick in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in CD Masquera's zone, Ortiz Manurga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Carrios came out of the goal and Ortiz Manurga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Demetrio Urbina's late challenge caught a Cuyabeno FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Demetrio Urbina helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, CD Masquera's Demetrio Urbina got a free kick in the 58th minute. Xose Robla was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 61 minutes into the game, CD Masquera's Abel Ygnacio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. CD Masquera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murillo Ganzo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Camilo Cardigondi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Salomon having to interfere.
