In the 8th minute Abel Ygnacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zayvius Crespin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javier Carrios made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Folgueira in the 12th minute. Armando Folgueira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When CD Masquera's Abel Ygnacio in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Camilo Cardigondi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half CD Masquera were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramiro Langayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yolan FC's Zayvius Crespin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Cardigondi in the 53rd minute of play. Abel Ygnacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Zayvius Crespin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Yolan FC booed when CD Masquera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Quejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Yolan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Cardigondi came free, but Zayvius Crespin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Folgueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Carrios having to interfere. Demetrio Urbina charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Demetrio Urbina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Demetrio Urbina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vicente Quejo kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Ramiro Langayo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Javier Carrios was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Zayvius Crespin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Cardigondi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Javier Carrios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Folgueira in the 82nd minute of the match. Javier Carrios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Folgueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. CD Masquera's Javier Carrios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Langayo in the 88th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CD Masquera walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
