Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aguinaga Montejo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Huayquichuma SC's zone, Fausto Jonsansoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aguinaga Montejo came out of the goal and Fausto Jonsansoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aguinaga Montejo made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Urtungo Lassa sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Jonsansoro in the 14th minute of play forced Huayquichuma SC's goalkeeper Aguinaga Montejo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Romano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xaver Echague in the 16th minute of the match. If Xaver Echague had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xaver Echague in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Romano saved UD Tamboloma from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orfilio Noreña in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Romano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fausto Jonsansoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Aguinaga Montejo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urtungo Lassa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Ruperto kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Orfilio Noreña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Edgardo Romano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Jonsansoro to make the kick off. Edgardo Romano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xaver Echague, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Orfilio Noreña managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huayquichuma SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orfilio Noreña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgardo Romano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Urtungo Lassa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. When Fausto Jonsansoro got free in front of the goal in the 86th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Aguinaga Montejo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Paredes Sarceada charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paredes Sarceada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fausto Jonsansoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aguinaga Montejo having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Huayquichuma SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
