The referee showed Xamo Cagigal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Igualala got a freekick which was hit by Xamo Cagigal. The supporters of UD Cochasqui booed when Igualala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noriega Dulanto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Noriega Dulanto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurelio Folgoso charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 8th minute, Aurelio Folgoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Víctor Frade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Criban Villarias's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 22nd minute, Gomez Roda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Igualala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gomez Roda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UD Cochasqui's Hector-Luis Mendecute played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xzavaier Llaria in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Marcelino Churruca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gomez Roda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Hector-Luis Mendecute tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Víctor Frade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Criban Villarias in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Evelio Cagigas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gomez Roda struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Hector-Luis Mendecute didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Igualala. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Gomez Roda made the kick off in the second half. Hector-Luis Mendecute made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xamo Cagigal in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Evelio Cagigas made a precise shot to the right of Víctor Frade. Igualala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Evelio Cagigas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Igualala's Noriega Dulanto got a free kick in the 67th minute. Insua Cothal kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Gomez Roda struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Hector-Luis Mendecute didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Igualala. UD Cochasqui's Hector-Luis Mendecute proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save UD Cochasqui from getting a goal against them. Gomez Roda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Igualala booed when UD Cochasqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corozo Virto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xamo Cagigal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Hector-Luis Mendecute tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Gomez Roda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Igualala's supporters rose to their feet, but Gomez Roda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector-Luis Mendecute breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the game, one of UD Cochasqui:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the Igualala defense, Evelio Cagigas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Víctor Frade. The Igualala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Víctor Frade should have stopped the shot.
