In the 24th minute, Kaviedes Carmeneses got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domingo Jaurigui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaviedes Carmeneses, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Kaviedes Carmeneses had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Kaviedes Carmeneses managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Sharqui's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaviedes Carmeneses was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingo Jaurigui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the game, Felipe Arandajo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Sharqui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sivia SC the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, UD Sharqui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Arandajo to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kaviedes Carmeneses made a kick off. León Reigadas made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Mane Xandri sent off a good shot on target. The Sivia SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingo Jaurigui should have stopped the shot. Kaviedes Carmeneses fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingo Jaurigui having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in UD Sharqui's zone, Zenaido Macho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. León Reigadas came out of the goal and Zenaido Macho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sivia SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for UD Sharqui.
