Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) UD Cochapata's Azconzábal Cubero started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When CD Tulcan's Isaias Rapino in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. UD Cochapata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Azconzábal Cubero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Azconzábal Cubero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Querejeta having to interfere. Arévalo Lagunas in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adolfo Querejeta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ignacio Miñano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaias Rapino's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. A collision led to UD Cochapata getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Zumar Jetino hit a great ball. In the 34th minute of the match José-Francisco Montesino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ignacio Miñano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 35th minute, Isaias Rapino made a precise shot to the right of Ignacio Miñano. UD Cochapata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. A collision led to UD Cochapata getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Zumar Jetino hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Arévalo Lagunas managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Cochapata's supporters rose to their feet, but Arévalo Lagunas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Querejeta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaias Rapino to make the kick off. The supporters of UD Cochapata booed when CD Tulcan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caicedo Carranceja didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Azconzábal Cubero in the 58th minute of play forced CD Tulcan's goalkeeper Adolfo Querejeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandro Montane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Ignacio Miñano made a huge save. UD Cochapata's Ignacio Miñano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Rapino in the 62nd minute of play. Azconzábal Cubero took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adolfo Querejeta. Adolfo Querejeta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Sandro Montane who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Ignacio Miñano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Adolfo Querejeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arévalo Lagunas in the 89th minute of play. Azconzábal Cubero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Querejeta having to interfere. Arévalo Lagunas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
