With an all-out effort, Desecho's Chatruc Isla threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Celso Yepes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 25th minute, Xiao Sayavedra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 played minutes, Desecho's Eugenio Herquinigo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chatruc Isla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Desecho reached it. Blanco Susvilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernández Ugia having to interfere.
