The supporters of Zamborondon SC booed when Macuchi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Munaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cántaro Hergueta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Macuchi's goalkeeper Patricio Uja, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edison Artolozaga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patricio Uja having to make a save. Edison Artolozaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Uja having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Macuchi had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
