Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Segundo Gallarde kicked off to start the match. Segundo Gallarde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zamborondon SC's goalkeeper Cántaro Hergueta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maximiliano Tormes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Gallarde, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. David Lesaca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cántaro Hergueta having to interfere. In the 17thth minute of the game David Lesaca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zamborondon SC's Cántaro Hergueta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute of the match, Orlando Lluberas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cántaro Hergueta was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 23rd minute, David Lesaca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Orlando Lluberas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Zamborondon SC's Cántaro Hergueta got control of the ball when Orlando Lluberas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Lluberas got free with Cántaro Hergueta in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CD Pitayo were furious when José-Francisco Zahonero was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in CD Pitayo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Maximiliano Tormes went to the wrong direction when Urdin Sobremonte was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Segundo Gallarde in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximiliano Tormes saved CD Pitayo from getting behind. Maximiliano Tormes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Gallarde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Lluberas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Gonzalo Colomo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the CD Pitayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Colomo couldn't finish the play. Zamborondon SC's Cántaro Hergueta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Lluberas in the 61st minute of play. Maximiliano Tormes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Gallarde in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Gallarde in the 67th minute of play forced CD Pitayo's goalkeeper Maximiliano Tormes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Segundo Gallarde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Edison Artolozaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edison Artolozaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Tormes having to interfere. Edison Artolozaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Maximiliano Tormes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
