The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Lluzhapa SC's Cántaro Hergueta threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lopez Canta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 6th minute, Edison Artolozaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th match minute, Zamborondon SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Agudo to maneuver through the defense. Blanco Felpeto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Gallarde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Segundo Gallarde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 played minutes Lluzhapa SC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Salmeron. A collision led to Zamborondon SC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rogelio Agudo hit a great ball. Urtats Romero took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cántaro Hergueta. Cántaro Hergueta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Edison Artolozaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blanco Felpeto having to interfere. If Lopez Canta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Segundo Gallarde to make the kick off. Cántaro Hergueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lopez Canta in the 52nd minute of the match. Segundo Gallarde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Blanco Felpeto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edison Artolozaga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Blanco Felpeto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lluzhapa SC's Blanco Felpeto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Gallarde in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of Zamborondon SC booed when Lluzhapa SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Guereña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lluzhapa SC's Blanco Felpeto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Lluzhapa SC from getting a goal against them. Cántaro Hergueta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urtats Romero's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, Lluzhapa SC's Franklin Guereña got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute, Urtats Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Urtats Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edison Artolozaga got free with Blanco Felpeto in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Segundo Gallarde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cántaro Hergueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urtats Romero in the 83rd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Rogelio Agudo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zamborondon SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lluzhapa SC the free kick. Rogelio Agudo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Cántaro Hergueta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lopez Canta in the 85th minute of play. Lluzhapa SC's Blanco Felpeto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Lluzhapa SC from getting a goal against them. Pedro Franquis hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Cántaro Hergueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lopez Canta in the 93rd minute of the match. Lluzhapa SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
