The supporters of Cunuyacu booed when Chuquipata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Manso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vistruario Farell kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Igor Gancedo, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Efrain Bevia hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Cunuyacu's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Rosete came free, but Amador Pedrero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teofilo Laspron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Amador Pedrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Ondovilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teofilo Laspron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Pedrero having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Efrain Bevia to make the kick off. Amador Pedrero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Rosete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zayvion Aguila kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Amador Pedrero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teofilo Laspron showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 61 minute of play. The supporters of Chuquipata booed when Cunuyacu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Raigadas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amador Pedrero acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 66th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rolando Manso. In the 70th minute Rodrigo Rosete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amador Pedrero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Gancedo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Jácome Biñuela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cunuyacu. In the 75th match minute, Chuquipata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Manso to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute of the match Igor Gancedo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jácome Biñuela skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Cunuyacu getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Uzuri Cardeño hit a great ball. Teofilo Laspron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Chuquipata supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chuquipata would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
