Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Alonso Gestoso made the kick off and thus started the match. After 2 played minutes Colaiza got a freekick which was hit by Xuan Valdeon. Colaiza's Patricio Bardeci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Colaiza from getting a goal against them. In the 10th match minute, Espinal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Dameda to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Alonso Gestoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Iza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Patricio Bardeci successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wilmer Lavijo took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patricio Bardeci. Patricio Bardeci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Miguel Tabares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Miguel Iza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alonso Gestoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Alonso Gestoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Iza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Iza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonso Gestoso in the 36th minute of the match. Espinal's Wilmer Lavijo got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 51 minutes, Ximenes Sierra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espinal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ximenes Sierra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilmer Lavijo struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Patricio Bardeci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espinal. Ximenes Sierra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 minutes, Candelario Mambliga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colaiza and the Espinal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Candelario Mambliga kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Wilmer Lavijo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Patricio Bardeci was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74thth minute of the game Alonso Gestoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espinal's Miguel Iza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miguel Tabares might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Iza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Tabares ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ximenes Sierra in the 78th minute of play forced Colaiza's goalkeeper Patricio Bardeci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Wilmer Lavijo came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Espinal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilmer Lavijo couldn't finish the play. Ximenes Sierra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Patricio Bardeci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 85 minutes, Wilmer Lavijo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espinal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilmer Lavijo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilmer Lavijo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Bardeci having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ximenes Sierra in the 89th minute of play forced Colaiza's goalkeeper Patricio Bardeci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wilmer Lavijo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Espinal's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
