Xabat Ramila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xabat Ramila might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diaz Olivarez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xabat Ramila ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paolo Santamaria got free with Diaz Olivarez in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benjamin Cuero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klimowitz Sotes in the 16th minute of play. Klimowitz Sotes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Benjamin Cuero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Situchi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Peguero to maneuver through the defense. Klimowitz Sotes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Cuero having to interfere. Salomon Limofer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Benjamin Cuero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xabat Ramila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diaz Olivarez having to interfere. Geovanny Piedrahita's late challenge caught a Situchi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geovanny Piedrahita helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of CD Cayapas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Situchi:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Situchi's zone, Klimowitz Sotes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Cuero came out of the goal and Klimowitz Sotes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Paolo Santamaria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Salomon Limofer managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Cayapas's supporters rose to their feet, but Salomon Limofer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Cuero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, Vitor Valenzuela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Salomon Limofer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Situchi's Benjamin Cuero got control of the ball when Salomon Limofer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salomon Limofer might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Cuero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Salomon Limofer ran back to his position shaking his head. Benjamin Cuero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klimowitz Sotes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paolo Santamaria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Diaz Olivarez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Situchi's Benjamin Cuero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Situchi from getting a goal against them.
