Gabriel Iturbide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pio Andonaegui in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Guallupi's Alvarez Varaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franklin Algara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ajoshuaico's zone, Alvarez Varaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franklin Algara came out of the goal and Alvarez Varaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pio Andonaegui struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Gabriel Iturbide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajoshuaico. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pio Andonaegui in the 17th minute of play forced Guallupi's goalkeeper Gabriel Iturbide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Zamudio's late challenge caught a Ajoshuaico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Zamudio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Guallupi's Fernando Zamudio got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Bagui Seral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Iturbide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guallupi's Reynaldo Godan got a free kick in the 28th minute. Xantalen Gimenez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvarez Varaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Xantalen Gimenez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guallupi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xantalen Gimenez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Xantalen Gimenez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alvarez Varaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Ajoshuaico's Franklin Algara got control of the ball when Alvarez Varaona tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Bagui Seral came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Ajoshuaico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bagui Seral couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bagui Seral to strike the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Iturbide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bagui Seral, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Pio Andonaegui came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Ajoshuaico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pio Andonaegui couldn't finish the play. Guallupi's Gabriel Iturbide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Guallupi from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute, Alvarez Varaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franklin Algara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xantalen Gimenez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xinto Armona's late challenge caught a Guallupi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xinto Armona helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xantalen Gimenez during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Xantalen Gimenez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ajoshuaico's Franklin Algara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvarez Varaona in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Xantalen Gimenez notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ajoshuaico's Franklin Algara. Franklin Algara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute, Ajoshuaico's Bagui Seral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gabriel Iturbide. Gabriel Iturbide yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 94th minute, Bagui Seral reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gabriel Iturbide. The goal made the score 1-2. The Ajoshuaico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
